“I’m very happy to have made it to the final,” said a jubilant Yamal after the match. “Now the most important thing is to win it. We were in a difficult moment, but we managed to respond quickly.”
Despite France’s efforts to level the score in the second half, including chances from Mbappe and Theo Hernandez, Spain’s solid defense held firm. The victory underscores Spain’s dominance in this tournament, showcasing an attacking style that contrasts with their historical tiki-taka approach.
“We showed tonight that we are a very good team,” remarked France coach Didier Deschamps. “Spain’s control of the game caused us problems, and despite our early lead, they deserved the win.”
