Canada’s Leylah Fernandez secured her first grass-court semifinal berth with a commanding 6-2, 6-1 victory over England’s Harriet Dart at the Rothesay International in Eastbourne, England. Fernandez, eyeing her first title since Hong Kong in 2023, now prepares to face defending champion Madison Keys in the semifinals.
Keys, seeded fourth, advanced by walkover after Czech Karolina Muchova withdrew due to a right wrist injury. The other semifinal will feature No. 3 seed Jasmine Paolini of Italy, who defeated Katie Boulter 6-1, 7-6 (0), and No. 6 seed Daria Kasatkina of Russia, who cruised past Emma Raducanu 6-2, 6-2.
The Rothesay International promises exciting matches as Fernandez continues her impressive form on the grass courts.
