U.S. Open champion Coco Gauff is set to make her Olympic debut this year, leading a team of six first-time Olympians to Paris, according to the USTA’s announcement on Thursday. Gauff, who missed the Tokyo Olympics due to a positive COVID-19 test, will be part of the U.S. women’s singles team alongside Jessica Pegula, Danielle Collins, and Emma Navarro.
Gauff, who claimed her first major doubles title at Roland Garros this year—the venue for the Olympic tennis competition—will also pair with Pegula in the women’s doubles. Collins will team up with Desirae Krawczyk in the doubles competition.
Collins, who plans to retire after this season, boasts an impressive 36-11 singles record for the year, including a remarkable 15-match winning streak and consecutive titles in Miami and Charleston.
The men’s squad features world number 12 Taylor Fritz, the highest-ranked American in singles. He will be joined by Tommy Paul, Chris Eubanks, and Marcos Giron. Fritz and Paul will form one doubles team, while world doubles number six Rajeev Ram and number 15 Austin Krajicek will constitute the other.
The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has yet to announce its mixed doubles team, promising to reveal those details at a later date.
