On the pitching side, left-hander Brennan Bernardino (1-1) earned the win after recording the final two outs of the fifth inning, following a solid start by Cooper Criswell, who allowed one run on five hits in 4 1/3 innings. Twins right-hander Joe Ryan (1-2) surrendered three runs on four hits over six innings in the losing effort.

The victory halted the Twins’ impressive 12-game winning streak, marking their first defeat since April 21 against the Detroit Tigers. For the Red Sox, the win provided a much-needed boost after narrowly avoiding a series sweep, positioning them well as they continue their campaign in the competitive American League.
