In another quarterfinal clash, fifth seed Ugo Humbert of France outlasted No. 3 Hubert Hurkacz of Poland with a score of 3-6, 7-6 (8), 6-3. Humbert saved three match points in the second-set tiebreak and hit 24 winners in the two-hour and 24-minute match. He will now advance to the semifinals to face Medvedev.
Two other seeded players, No. 2 Andrey Rublev and No. 7 Alexander Bublik, advanced when their unseeded opponents retired due to injury. Rublev eliminated American Sebastian Korda with a score of 6-4, 4-3 (retired), while Bublik moved past Jiri Lehecka with a score of 6-4, 4-1 (retired).
