In another quarterfinal clash, fifth seed Ugo Humbert of France outlasted No. 3 Hubert Hurkacz of Poland with a score of 3-6, 7-6 (8), 6-3. Humbert saved three match points in the second-set tiebreak and hit 24 winners in the two-hour and 24-minute match. He will now advance to the semifinals to face Medvedev.
