The Cowboys, coming off a dominant 40-0 win over the New York Giants in their season opener, continued their strong start to the season with another impressive performance. They now sit at 2-0 for the season.

Lamb, the team’s top receiver, had a standout game, tying his career-high with 11 receptions for 147 yards. His contributions were crucial in setting up both of Dak Prescott’s touchdown passes. Lamb’s performance was all the more impressive considering the absence of Cooks, who had suffered a knee injury in his Dallas debut a week earlier.

One of Lamb’s key receptions was a 25-yard catch that set up tight end Jake Ferguson’s 4-yard touchdown grab early in the game. Another crucial moment came when Lamb made a 20-yard reception on a drive that answered Garrett Wilson’s 68-yard touchdown catch for the Jets. Despite taking a hard hit and landing on his shoulder, Lamb held on to the ball, demonstrating his resilience.

In addition to Lamb’s impressive showing, rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker scored his first career touchdown from the 1-yard line following a pass interference call in the end zone.

Dak Prescott looked sharp, targeting Lamb a total of 13 times during the game, just two shy of his career-high. However, Lamb’s dominance nearly led to an interception when Sauce Gardner nearly had a pick-6 opportunity but couldn’t secure the ball.

On the other side, Jets’ quarterback Zach Wilson had a challenging day, throwing three interceptions. Wilson’s long touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson briefly narrowed the score gap, but the Jets struggled to move the ball consistently, managing just 147 yards outside of the long TD play.

Dallas’s defense played a crucial role in the victory, recording three interceptions and forcing a fumble. Micah Parsons, who had two sacks, showcased his impact by ripping the ball out of Dalvin Cook’s arms, though it was ruled down on review.

Brett Aubrey continued his impressive kicking performance for the Cowboys, making five field goals, including a 55-yarder. Aubrey has been flawless since his initial NFL miss on an extra point.

As the Cowboys continue their strong start to the season, they can take pride in their defense, which has excelled in takeaways and pressure over the first two games. Coach Mike McCarthy praised the team’s outstanding start and their ability to generate pressure and take the ball away.

The victory was not without its share of injuries for the Cowboys. Left guard Chuma Edoga left the game in the second half with an elbow issue, and right guard Zack Martin suffered an ankle injury during a play. Despite these setbacks, the Cowboys were able to maintain control of the game and secure a convincing win.

The Dallas Cowboys’ strong start to the season leaves them in a promising position as they look to build on their early successes and continue their pursuit of a successful campaign.
