Elon Men’s Tennis Extends Win Streak with 5-2 Victory Over William & Mary

The Elon University men’s tennis team overcame the loss of the doubles point to defeat Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) opponent William & Mary, 5-2, at Jimmy Powell Tennis Center. The victory marks the fourth straight win for the Phoenix, improving their season record to 7-6. After a tough 0-4 start, Elon has now won seven of its last nine matches.

Elon fought hard in doubles but ultimately dropped the point after William & Mary secured wins on courts three and one.

  • No. 2 Singles: Rafael Ymer battled back from a set down to win 3-6, 6-4, 10-8. This marked his fourth straight singles win, improving to 8-2 in his last 10 matches.
  • No. 5 Singles: Charles Pilet fought hard but fell in a close three-set match to Sean Joseph.

Krstic, Ymer, and Sengariz remain unbeaten in CAA singles play at 2-0, and Elon has now posted an impressive 19-5 singles record during its four-match win streak.
