Despite a strong effort, the Rebels were unable to overcome the powerful Longhorns, who featured three ranked singles players, including two in the top-20.
Loan Lestir was the standout player for Ole Miss. The freshman quickly found his rhythm on court four, dominating Texas’ Sebastian Eriksson in straight sets with a 6-4, 6-0 victory. This win, Lestir’s ninth of the season, was the only point Ole Miss scored in the match.
