Texas established a commanding presence from the outset, securing the doubles point with ease. In singles play, Lucas Brown led the charge with a remarkable 6-0, 6-0 victory against Alejandro Verdasco, marking a perfect start for the Longhorns. Following Brown’s swift win, Sebastian Gorzny further extended Texas’ lead by defeating Dennis Dutine 6-1, 6-2. Gorzny’s performance included a series of crucial breaks that set the tone for the match.
