Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, revealed that he played with a broken finger on his non-throwing hand during Sunday’s 27-13 victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In the game, Hurts recorded 290 passing yards and threw two touchdown passes, while also rushing for another score. “It’s broken, and it did impact my play,” Hurts acknowledged.
The injury appears to have occurred during last week’s matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Hurts was listed on the injury report this week due to a finger issue on his left hand.
Recently, Hurts faced criticism for a series of underwhelming performances, having failed to surpass 200 passing yards in his last three games. However, he skillfully guided the Eagles to a franchise-record 10th consecutive victory.
“I’ve known it’s been at the state it’s at all week, and I don’t really want to put too much more into it,” Hurts stated. “I can say I don’t think it got any worse today. If it’s shattered, it’s shattered. It is what it is.”
