Lazio Eliminates Napoli from Italian Cup 3-1

Serie A leaders Napoli were knocked out of the Italian Cup on Thursday, suffering a 3-1 defeat to Lazio, who advanced to the quarterfinals thanks to a hat trick from Tijjani Noslin.

Noslin, the Dutch forward, found the net in the 32nd, 41st, and 50th minutes at the Stadio Olimpico. Napoli managed to equalize with a goal from Giovanni Simeone, making it 1-1 at one point in the match. Earlier, Lazio’s Mattia Zaccagni had a penalty saved while the score was still 0-0.

The two teams are set to clash again in the league on Sunday, with Napoli holding a narrow one-point lead over Lazio, who sit four points clear of fifth place.
