The U.S. women’s national soccer team will host Australia, Japan, and Colombia in the 2025 SheBelieves Cup, marking the tournament’s 10th annual edition.
Scheduled to take place from February 23-26, the tournament will be held across three cities: Houston, San Diego, and Glendale, Arizona, as announced by U.S. Soccer on Wednesday. Each team will compete in three matches, one in each host city, with the overall winner determined by points accumulated throughout the tournament.
Due to the Paris Olympics, the previous edition of the SheBelieves Cup was shortened, with each team playing just two matches over two days.
“All four of these teams were in the last World Cup and Olympics, and all are in the building process to qualify for the next World Cup, so to get three games against talented teams and players in a format that replicates group play at a world championship is valuable in our process,” said U.S. coach Emma Hayes in a statement.
The tournament will kick off on February 20 in Houston, where the U.S. will face Colombia, followed by a match between Japan and Australia. The event will then move to Glendale on February 23, featuring Colombia against Japan, followed by the U.S. taking on Australia.
The final matches are set for February 26 in San Diego, with Australia playing Colombia and the U.S. squaring off against Japan. These matches will be the first for the U.S. on home soil in 2025.
