Jacques Burger has been named Namibia’s new director of rugby, replacing former South Africa coach Allister Coetzee, according to the Namibia Rugby Union.
Burger, a former captain who played in three World Cups, will lead a new coaching team ahead of the World Cup qualifying campaign next year.
Chrysander Botha, a former teammate of Burger, will serve as the head coach.
Namibia has competed in seven consecutive World Cups since 1999, but has yet to win a match in 26 attempts.
