Nia Washington led the Rebels (12-4, 2-2 SEC) with 14 kills and 11 digs. Ole Miss managed to limit the Aggies (12-2, 3-1 SEC) to a .238 hitting percentage, but it was not enough to secure a win.

Texas A&M started strong, taking an 8-2 lead and prompting Ole Miss to call a timeout. After regrouping, Payton Brgoch and Shayla Meyer each contributed two kills, but the Rebels could not erase the deficit. The Aggies finished the first set with a score of 25-17.

In the second set, Ole Miss aimed to regain momentum. They broke away with a 7-1 run, highlighted by three consecutive aces from Meyer, taking a 12-5 lead. Though Texas A&M closed the gap to within five points, Ole Miss held onto the lead. A 4-1 run, fueled by two kills from Washington, secured a 25-17 victory in the set, leveling the match at 1-1.

The third set was tightly contested, with both teams exchanging four ties early on. However, Texas A&M took advantage of several errors from Ole Miss and began to pull away. Washington added two more kills to keep Ole Miss in the game, but the Aggies secured the set 25-18.

After gaining the lead, Texas A&M came out strong in the fourth set, forcing Ole Miss to call both of their timeouts early. In an effort to spark her team, head coach Bre Henry brought in Emma Ammerman, a transfer from Pepperdine. Ammerman provided a burst of energy, scoring three quick kills, but it wasn’t enough. Texas A&M clinched the match with a 25-18 victory in the set.

The Rebels will return to action this weekend, traveling to Athens, Ga., to face Georgia on Sunday at 12 p.m. CT. The match will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
