In the best-of-five series, there have been six instances where teams split wins at 1-1. In every case, the team that won Game 3 advanced to the playoffs. This gives LG an advantageous position going into Game 4.

The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced that all 17,600 seats for Game 4 are sold out. This marks the sixth consecutive sell-out for postseason games in 2024 and the 11th straight sell-out since the start of the Korean Series last year. The KBO also reported sell-outs for both the 1st and 2nd wild card games, as well as the 1st and 3rd semi-playoff games.

For Game 4, LG will start Detrick Ens, a left-handed pitcher who joined the team this season. He has a record of 13 wins, 6 losses, and an ERA of 4.19 over 30 regular season games, totaling 167.2 innings. Ens faced KT twice this season, securing two wins with a 5.25 ERA.

KT will counter with William Cuevas. A right-handed pitcher, Cuevas has been with KT since mid-last year. He has a career record of 45 wins, 22 losses, and an ERA of 3.64 over 100 KBO league games, totaling 600.2 innings. This season, he has 7 wins, 12 losses, and a 4.10 ERA over 31 games.

However, Cuevas has struggled against LG in his career. He has faced them nine times and has four losses with a 9.00 ERA. In their last encounter this year, he allowed seven runs in five innings.
