The Indiana Fever’s 91-83 triumph over the visiting Chicago Sky on Sunday became the WNBA’s most-watched game in 23 years, CBS announced on Tuesday. The game featured two standout rookies: 2024 No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark of the Fever and No. 7 overall pick Angel Reese of the Sky.
Averaging 2.25 million viewers, the game’s audience represented a 225 percent increase compared to a similar game window last season between the Phoenix Mercury and New York Liberty. The viewership peaked at an impressive three million viewers.
Clark delivered a stellar performance, scoring 23 points, marking her seventh game this season with at least 20 points. She also contributed nine assists and eight rebounds, propelling the Fever to their first back-to-back wins of the season.
Additionally, Sunday’s game set a record as the most-streamed WNBA game ever on Paramount+, measured across households, minutes, and average minute audience.
