Jamal Murray, the guard for the Denver Nuggets, has been fined $100,000 by the NBA for throwing a towel and a heating pad toward an official during a playoff game earlier this week. The incident took place during the Nuggets’ game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
Despite the severity of the incident, Murray was not suspended for his actions. The reigning champions, Denver Nuggets, ended up losing the game.
The NBA’s executive vice president and head of basketball operations, Joe Dumars, announced the fine in a news release.
This incident occurred during the best-of-seven Western Conference semi-finals series, where Minnesota currently leads.
